My Tatay got carried away with George Washington, since we are distantly
related, and wrote the History of Pope's Creek (Virginia) on Wikipedia. He also expanded the creek article itself as lead in to the history. This site features volunteers writing various articles which are supposed to be
of concise encyclopedia type. Tatay wrote too much since the Popes have very little history anywhere except associated
with the creek and George Washington's family. As it now stands, this should qualify as the most famous creek in
America, but someone can change the article to a lesser format. The final proof, as of 3-27-08, will always show in the
(history) of the article unless someone deletes the whole thing. The link above with the version just before the final proofread
has one comma with a footnote out of place, can you find it? Addendum: Nevermind, Tatay found other mistakes and proofread
the whole article.
